Wine Tower is a romantic 14th-century tower – just like the ones in fairy tales – set in a centuries-old park in the heart of Padua. The historic complex, which was part of the city’s defensive walls, overlooks the river and is embraced by lush greenery dominated by the majestic Negundo,
the second largest maple tree in Europe.
The building has only 3 exclusive suites, imbued with the city’s history and carefully furnished in the original style and to the highest standards of the hôtellerie. Here you can literally dip into an atmosphere suspended in a "timeless time", also through the activities organised by the Il Giardino della Torre Association: Yoga and picnics in the park; Taste the Tower with a guided tour of the Tower and the tasting of two Massimago wines; Happy Tower with a guided tour followed by an aperitif or dinner in the bastion; Tower and the City for an afternoon discovering Padua, at the Torre del Soccorso and a toast with the Bio wines of the Massimago Winery. Unique experiences for a slow, local, authentic holiday.
CloseOur B&B in recent years has been striving to reach the highest standards to be completely environmentally sustainable. Our practices towards greater sustainability start with small steps such as the safe collection of hazardous waste, thedecreasing use of paper, including paperless procedures in the reception and back office.
Every faucet is designed to save water and avoid waste, all towels and sheets are washed at a maximum temperature of 60 °C, and thermostats are programmed to reduce energy use when rooms or common areas are not in use. In fact, compared to last year, energy consumption has been reduced by at least 5 per cent. Even the courtesy sets provided in the rooms contain only items that do not harm the environment over their entire life cycle.
We strive to obtain the raw materials of the products served at breakfast from the region (at least 80% of the food by weight). Our B&B is Pet Friendly so as to guarantee a peaceful holiday for those travelling with their pets.
In the rooms, in the toiletries and in the materials used in the additional services, so that the impact on the environment is increasingly reduced.
We lovingly care for our centuries-old park, a historic environment that we carefully preserve, reducing the use of pesticides to a minimum.
We organise activities for guests and team building, preferably in contact with nature, such as yoga and picnics in the secular park.
All three suites are named after three personalities who have contributed to bringing prestige to the city of Padua: Giotto, Donatello, Galileo Galilei. These rooms exude elegance, attention to detail and historical charm. On request, it is possible to request breakfast and enjoy it quietly in the Suite and leave your car in the private, video-monitored car park.
