The San Salvador is an eco-friendly hotel for families, which offers children and parents lots of attention and specific services, such as a professional Mini Club at lunch and dinner, entertainment on the beach, a kitchen equipped for baby food with a wide selection of baby food, an afternoon snack, a colourful indoor play area, and all the necessary equipment in the room and dining room.
The hotel is located just 80 metres from the beach with special rates, in a very convenient position for walking and cycling in the pretty resort of Igea Marina, and for discovering the area, from the picturesque, green Marecchia Valley to Montefeltro, destinations rich in history and natural beauty.

The history of our family has its roots in the Romagna countryside: sharecroppers in the early 1900s, we later became owners of the land cultivated with hard work and dedication, until we decided to invest in tourism in the 1960s, when we integrated the hotel into the farm. We still base our hospitality and our desire to give guests an experience that regenerates body and mind on these values, always starting with a sustainable and environmentally friendly type of holiday. We work with passion to make our hotel ever greener, a project in which we put so much love and commitment that we have received important awards from Legambiente, TripAdvisor, Family&C, and Emilia Romagna un mare di sapori. Although the most important recognition is that of our guests, who return with pleasure even from two generations!
Plastic free
We have already abolished the use of plastic by 80 per cent, thanks also to reusable, refillable water bottles with free water always at hand.
From Romagna to the buffet
Seasonal vegetables and fruit come from our vegetable garden, or from small, trusted local producers; even the flours used are organic and from 100% ancient Romagna grains.
Clean energy
95% hot water from renewable sources, 90% air conditioning from photovoltaics, 99% energy-efficient LED lights, dining room glass with 3M reflective films, thermal and fireproof outer coat, photocatalytic exterior paint.
Eco services
We use an electric golf car for travelling and have 2 fast charging stations for free use. We also favour environmentally friendly detergents.

We organise educational outings to our farm, just a few minutes away from the hotel, to show guests where vegetables come from and enjoy harvesting the fruits of the earth together.

At the Hotel San Salvador you will taste the real cuisine of Romagna, the genuine and delicious cuisine handed down from grandmothers, with exclusively home-made dishes always in step with new food trends. Each dish, served buffet-style, is prepared fresh with passion and skill – for example, pasta, piadina, pizza, and desserts made with organic and ancient Romagna flours – starting with a selection of excellent raw materials from small local producers, fish from the Adriatic Sea, and vegetables and fruit from the hotel’s own farm. Because ‘good eating’ is an art that makes the guest and the environment happy. The breakfast buffet is happiness for the eyes and the palate: cakes, biscuits and even jams are homemade; eggs come only from free-range chickens; and then there is yoghurt, seeds, fresh and dried fruit, organic cereals, honey, centrifuges, a selection of cold meats and cheeses to enjoy with freshly baked bread. In the hotel there is a kitchen equipped for baby food, with baby food, pasta, broths, purees and organic milk. |
